Parish Events and Activities

Our parish’s Fellowship Committee is planning a huge parish festival on Friday, August 17th and Saturday, August 18th.

It will be held in the Rectory parking lot and the school playground.  Two great bands have been booked for entertainment.

Rides for the kids, a petting zoo, and a rock climbing wall are also booked as well as games of chance for adults and lots of good fair food.

The winners of our parish raffle will be chosen at the end of the event.  Vendors, crafts and other interesting booths are also part of the event.

Since this event will require many hands and many hard workers, we are asking all of our parishioners to volunteer to assist.

The Committee is appealing to our congregation for needed help.  You can sign up to volunteer for an hour, a few hours or for the entire event.

Spiritual Reflection Group

Fr. Des’ Spiritual Reflection group will be meeting again starting Monday, June 4 at 7 pm in the Meeting Room in Church.

The group will share thoughts on M. Scott Peck’s book, “The Road Less Traveled and Beyond”. The group will meet for 5 sessions.

Walking With Purpose

The Walking with Purpose parish program at St. Mary’s Church  will be resuming its Women’s Bible Study “Keeping in Balance’ this fall:  This  Bible study is designed for women who are new to WWP as well as those with more Bible study experience. We welcome past participants and invite new women to join us!  In addition to St. Mary’s conducting a Thursday evening Bible Study, We also plan to offer  a daytime session with child care available as space allows.

Walking with Purpose is a Catholic Bible study that aims to bring women to a deeper, personal relationship with Christ through personal study and small group discussions that link our everyday challenges with solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church.  As   our participants have said “ it allows for many to get to know Christ in an intimate way, such that your love and faith grows stronger” and “… it will change your life in a positive manner, grow your faith and allow you to make meaningful friendships”
