St. Mary's Testimonials

We have had the pleasure of receiving many beautiful testimonials from people attending Mass as people passing through, here on vacation, attending funerals, witnessing weddings, our full-time parishioner's and many more. Please enjoy a few of them here.

If you are moved to leave a testimonial, use the text box below and please indicate if you are open to it being shared.

Good morning, Father Scott - wanted to reach out to thank you again for your participation in my father's passing. When I was in India over the holidays, I was aware of a change that was about to happen given his heath condition, and I told my in-laws I needed to go to an ashram or SOMETHING to center myself in how to handle what I knew was coming. Little did I know I needed to go to the Catholic Church.

In the weeks since his passing and the week since his funeral I continue to think and reflect on many things, how sick did was, how we were all there rallying around him and mom, how he is not here anymore (like, really. not. here.), how so many people showed up for him and out family and how the process of this 'right of passage' was made beautiful with your help. For which I am forever grateful. I have travelled, seen, listened, learned, and experienced many things in this world, and I know you have a gift, the Glens Falls community is so fortunate to have you.

Thank you again Father, you have helped me deeply.

Best,

Abigail P

Father,

We just attended your 11:15 Mass today. I can not express enough how wonderful and spiritual it was. We were just passing through on our way to our Son's family in Colchester, VT for Christmas. I did not want to leave church! We have relocated several times and have not felt at home in a parish in a very long time. Thanks for getting us more prepared for the birth of our Lord. If only I lived in this town would my seeking of the place that truly connects my soul to the Eucharist as it did this morning be over. I shall continue to seek.

I do not know if you record your homilies, but if you do, could you please share the link do I can share with my children?

May the Peace of Christ be with you.

Father Scott,

Last Sunday, Mat 19th, I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Queensbury, from my home in NJ, and wanted to attend Mass. I joined your Mass at 8:30AM and just want to say thank you for one of the most moving, spiritual Masses I have ever attended. Never in my 5 years have I been so moved and inspired by a single Mass in my entire life. I happen to be going through a difficult time right now and my spirit needed exactly what you and your wonderful truthfulness of the words of your homily struck such a chord with me.

The sense of community among all the members of your parish was truly palpable. It's obvious your work has touched so many and as a result built a welcoming, friendly congregation that, even as an outsider, made me feel like I belong as well.

So, thank you Father, for doing what you do.

I plan to visit my family again over the summer and will certainly attend Mass again. I look forward to it and possibly even meeting you and shaking your hand, to thank you in person.
